培训中,来自 Luceda Photonics 和 Ligentec 的专家将带领您一起设计阵列波导光栅(AWG)。我们所设计的 AWG 将基于 Ligentec 工艺平台。

  • IPKISS Photonics Design Platform: IPKISS and IPKISS AWG Designer

  • IPKISS PDK for Ligentec

在探索所有阶段的折衷设计方案后,我们可以生成一个“一键生成”的可工艺制造的设计。设计完成的 AWG 也可在 IPKISS Photonics Design Platform 中完成整个芯片设计,最终即可准备在 Ligentec 进行流片。

培训将聚焦于集成光学层析成像应用的 AWG 设计,它是基于 Ligentec AN150 工艺平台和相应版本的 IPKISS PDK 来实现的。我们可以定制 AWG 设计流程中的每一个细节,来适应版图或仿真方面的特定要求。

    14:30 - 17:30 Hands-on training: design an AWG filter for optical coherence tomography. The training will guide you through:
    • Designing with IPKISS: getting started

    • AWG design using the IPKISS AWG Designer

    You will get familiar with the IPKISS AWG Designer and the Ligentec PDK, by taking the code, changing parameters and settings to obtain the AWG you need according to certain specifications.
    After the training, you will be able to keep using Luceda software for a month.

    Evaluation

    The evaluation of the submitted AWG designs will be performed by a team of experts from Luceda Photonics and Ligentec. The maximum attainable score is composed of:

    • 50 points - Performance 
      The AWG will be judged based on the performance. The figures of merit considered to assign the score will be relevant to the chosen application.

    • 50 points - Application
      The AWG will be judged based on the relevance of the chosen application field.

    Rules
    • The submitted design must be made using IPKISS and the IPKISS AWG Designer, together with the IPKISS PDK for Ligentec

    • The submitted design must have a valid layout and be DRC-clean

    • The design must be returned together with the code used to create it by 22 July 2020 for evaluation

    Submission

    To be eligible for the competition, participants must submit their entries to chiara@lucedaphotonics.com. The submission must be an archive file containing:

    1. Final GDS file of the design

    2. IPKISS code used to layout and simulate the AWG

    3. A 300-word text pitching the application field chosen for the designed AWG.
